Diþ rengi seçiminde bilgi, tecrübe ve cinsiyetin etkisinin deðerlendirilmesi

GÝRÝÞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalýþmanýn amacý, renk kavramlarý hakkýnda eðitim, cinsiyet ve tecrübe seviyesinin görsel renk seçimindeki baþarýya olan etkisinin deðerlendirilmesidir.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Diþ Hekimliði lisans ve Protetik Diþ Tedavisi yüksek lisans öðrencilerinden oluþan toplam 218 renk körü olmayan katýlýmcý araþtýrmaya dahil edildi. Öðrencilerin yarýsýna renk kavramý ve renk seçimi prensipleri hakkýnda eðitim verildi. Protetik Diþ Tedavisi yüksek lisans öðrencileri eðitimli olarak kabul edildi. Tootguide Trainer (TT) yazýlýmý ile birlikte çalýþan Toothguide Training Box (TTB) kullanýlarak katýlýmcýlarýn renk eþleþtirme alýþtýrmalarý tamamladý ve final testi sonuçlarý elde edildi. (∑E) ile TT yazýlýmýnýn verdiði toplam skor, her katýlýmcý için hesaplandý. Çalýþmada elde edilen bulgular deðerlendirilirken, niceliksel verilerin karþýlaþtýrýlmasýnda ve normal daðýlým gösteren parametrelerin gruplar arasý karþýlaþtýrmalarýnda Oneway Anova testi ve farklýlýða neden çýkan grubun tespitinde Tukey HDS testi kullanýldý. Normal daðýlým gösteren parametrelerin iki grup arasý karþýlaþtýrmalarýnda Student t test kullanýldý. Niteliksel verilerin karþýlaþtýrýlmasýnda ise Ki-Kare testi kullanýldý. Anlamlýlýk p<0,05 düzeyinde deðerlendirildi.
BULGULAR: Tüm katýlýmcýlar ve final sýnavý sonuçlarý tecrübe ve eðitim açýsýndan deðerlendirildiðinde, toplam skor ve ∆E ortalamalarýnda anlamlý farklýlýk bulundu (p<0,01). Renk eðitimi verilmeyen grubun parlaklýk ve yoðunlukta yanýlma oranlarýnýn, eðitim verilen gruba göre anlamlý düzeyde yüksek olduðu görüldü (p<0,01). Cinsiyetler arasýnda, toplam skor ve ∆E ortalamalarý arasýnda anlamlý farklýlýk bulunmadý (p>0,05).
TARTIÞMA ve SONUÇ: Vita Toothguide 3D-Master skalasýnýn renk ve renk kavramlarýyla birlikte renk eþleþtirme sýrasý ve prensipleri hakkýnda eðitimli olan bireylerin, renk seçiminde daha baþarýlý olduðu görüldü.

Evaluation of the knowledge, experience and gender influence on the shade matching

INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of color education, gender and level of experience on shade matching quality.
METHODS: A study was simultaneously performed a total of 218 color normal participants who were dental students and prosthodontic post-graduate students. A lecture on color and color matching in dentistry was given to half of the dental students. Post-graduate students were accepted as educated. Toothguide Training Box (TTB) with Toothguide Trainer (TT) software, was used by all participants to perform training procedure and lastly final test was done by the TTB. The shade matching score for each participant was computed as a sum of color differences (∑∆E) between target tabs and selected tabs. The evaluation of the quantative data and comparison between groups were performed by Oneway Anova test, and Tukey HDS test was used for the group which causes discrepancy. Parameters showing normal distribution, Student's t test was used for comparisons between the two groups. Qualitative data were compared using Chi- square test. Significance was evaluated at p<0.05 level.
RESULTS: All participants were evaluated in terms of experience and education and final exam results, the mean total scores and also the mean of ∑∆E scores were showed significant differences (p<0.01). For uneducated group the mistake number of value and chroma was significantly higher than educated group (p<0.01). The mean of total score and the mean of ∑∆E, there was no significant difference between genders (p>0.05).
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: The results of the study supported that the ones who have education about color concepts and also principles about Vita ToothGuide 3D-Master were more successful at shade matching.
