Postoperatif Duyarlýlýðýn Giderilmesi ve Duyarlýlýk Giderici Ajanlar

Dentin duyarlýlýðý; açýk dentin yüzeyinin, mekanik veya kimyasal baþta olmak üzere çeþitli uyaranlara maruz kalmasý ile meydana gelen, ani ve keskin aðrýya yol açabilen bir durumdur. Yüzeydeki uyarý iletimleri sebebiyle oluþtuðu için uyaranýn ortadan kalkmasý ile kaybolabilir. Dentinin aðýz ortamýna açýlmasýný gerektiren bu durum, mine dokusu hasarý ve/veya kök yüzeyinin açýða çýkmasý gibi nedenlerden dolayý oluþabildiði gibi diþlere uygulanan operatif iþlemler de mine dokusunun kaybýna sebep olarak dentin dokusunu aðýz içine ekspoze eder ve duyarlýlýða sebep olur. Sabit protetik tedavi için dayanak diþlerin preparasyonu sonrasýnda da duyarlýlýk görülebilir ve duyarlýlýk gidericilerin uygulanmasý gerekebilir. Bu çalýþmanýn amacý, postoperatif dentin duyarlýlýðý ve bu duyarlýlýðýn giderilmesini konu alan güncel literatürün derlenmesidir.

Postoperative Desensitization and Desensitizing Agents

Dentin hypersensitivity is a condition that occurs when the exposed dentin surface is affected by various stimuli, especially mechanical or chemical, and can cause sudden and sharp pain. Since it is caused by the conduction of stimuli on the exposed dentin surface, the removal of the stimulus can disappear. This situation, which requires the dentin to be exposed to the oral environment, may occur due to reasons such as enamel tissue damage and/or exposure of the root surface, and operative procedures applied to the teeth may also cause loss of enamel tissue and cause sensitivity by exposing the dentin tissue into the mouth. Sensitivity may also occur after the preparation of the abutment teeth for fixed prosthetic treatment and desensitizers may need to be applied. The aim of this study is to compile the current literature on postoperative dentin sensitivity and the elimination of this sensitivity.
